“Empower your team with smarter, safer payment control.”
- Paul Duncan
Businesses now have greater control and flexibility when managing financial permissions. With this new update, admins can assign fine-grained permissions for each area of the Payments module giving teams precise access without compromising security.
Orders – View, export, import, and collect payments (including partial payments).
Subscriptions – Create, modify, pause, resume, cancel, export, and manage payment methods.
Transactions – View, refund, export, import, and download receipts.
Taxes – Configure settings, add/delete tax rates, and enable automatic tax calculations.
Products – Create, edit, import, duplicate, bulk-manage, or delete products.
Payment Settings – Customize receipts, subscription defaults, and overall payment configurations.
Each action (view, create, update, delete, export, configure) is now standardized across modules for easier understanding and cleaner workflows.
🔐 Why It Matters
This update gives admins granular control over who can perform sensitive actions like refunds or tax updates. It enhances both security and accountability preventing unauthorized changes while streamlining permissions for financial operations.
Other key improvements include:
Old permissions like Refund Transactions and Manage Subscriptions are now categorized under their respective modules.
UI now enforces dependencies for instance, bulk product actions require edit access.
Permissions are more transparent and easier to audit.
