“Merging contacts no longer means losing transaction history” - Paul Duncan
Managing duplicate contacts just got safer and smarter in ProfitFlo. With the new update, when you merge two or more contacts, all payments, subscriptions, and transaction history will now follow the Master Contact ensuring nothing gets lost or disconnected.
This is a game-changer for businesses that juggle multiple contacts for the same client or handle subscription billing and invoicing.
Here’s what this update brings to the table:
After merging contacts, you can now:
View all transactions, subscriptions, orders, and receipts directly in the Master Contact’s details page.
See the original contact name during search, but the records will redirect to the Master record when clicked.
Avoid losing any transaction data no more orphan records.
If a merged contact has an active subscription and the payment fails:
The invoice and failure notice will go to the Master Contact’s email and/or phone.
This avoids confusion and keeps communication streamlined.
All backend records maintain:
The original contact info tied to each transaction
The new Master contact info to keep the full picture intact
ProfitFlo is working on a new LTV (Lifetime Value) field, which will:
Automatically map and consolidate all merged contact values into the final Master contact
Give you a more accurate picture of customer value over time
