🎁 The All-New Gift Card System: Simple, Smart & Ready for Your Customers

Gift cards have always been a powerful tool for increasing sales, rewarding customers, and creating loyalty. Now, businesses can finally manage everything, end-to-end, directly inside the platform. With this new update, you can create, sell, send, track, and redeem gift cards across multiple checkout types with no external tools needed.

Whether you want to sell gift cards online, issue them as rewards, send them for compensation, or give them to loyal customers, this new system gives you complete flexibility and control.

⭐ 1. Create Fully Customizable Gift Card Products

Everything starts in the new Gift Cards section under Payments.

Here, businesses can create beautiful, branded gift card products with full customization, including:

• Gift card name, description, and terms

• Optional expiration date

• Custom artwork or branded designs

• Multiple denominations (ex: $25, $50, $100)

• Automatic tax rules

• Custom gradients and branding

• Optional categories

• A built-in preview to see the final design

You can also edit, archive, or deactivate any gift card product at any time.

A few things to note:

• When a product is deactivated, it immediately stops selling on its dedicated checkout link.

• If the gift card is added to other checkouts (like funnels or forms), you will need to remove it manually.

• Inventory applies per denomination automatically (ex: if you set 100 units, each denomination gets 100).

• Gift cards are created at the final step of the process.

⭐ 2. Sell Gift Cards Through Multiple Checkouts

Every gift card product automatically generates its own Test Mode and Live Mode checkout pages.

You can sell gift cards through:

• A dedicated checkout link

• Embedded checkout code for websites

• QR codes for stores, signage, or sharing

• Funnels (one-step or two-step order forms)

• Forms

• Stores

• Payment links

• Invoices

• Calendar payments (where supported)

At the checkout, customers can:

• Pick a denomination

• Choose to buy for themselves or for someone else

• Add recipient details

• Choose immediate or scheduled delivery

• Pay in Test or Live mode

Important details:

• Scheduled gift cards activate automatically at the selected time.

• Test-mode gift cards can only be redeemed on test-mode checkouts. (Same for Live mode.)

• When gift cards are sold via existing checkouts, they are emailed to the customer who made the purchase.

⭐ 3. Send Gift Cards Directly No Payment Needed

You can also send a gift card without requiring payment, perfect for:

• Rewards

• Customer appreciation

• Store credit

• Compensation

• Promotions

To send a gift card:

Choose an existing customer

Add a personal message (you can use AI to help write it)

Choose delivery method:

• Email

• SMS

• QR link

• PDF via email

Send immediately or schedule for later

Preview the final gift card message

Important notes:

• Direct sending is Live Mode only.

• Inventory is reduced every time you send a gift card.

• You can send only one gift card at a time.

⭐ 4. Track All Gift Cards in One Place

The new Gift Card Orders tab shows every gift card created both purchased and manually sent.

For each card, you can see:

• Purchaser and recipient

• Denomination

• Expiration date

• Remaining balance

• Delivery method

• Status (Scheduled, Active, Inactive)

• Hidden card number

• All related details

This section becomes your central source of truth for all gift cards.

⭐ 5. Redeem Gift Cards Across Multiple Checkouts

Customers can now redeem gift cards across many checkout types, including:

• Funnels

• Forms

• Payment links

• Stores

• Invoices

• Calendar payments

• Supported payment providers (Stripe, NMI, Authorize.net, Square)

How redemption works:

• Customer enters their gift card number

• The system shows the available balance

• They can pay the full amount if the balance covers it

• Or pay partially and cover the rest with another payment method

Notes:

• For subscriptions, customers must still add another payment method for future charges.

• Gift cards do not work on upsells yet.

• Gift cards can only be redeemed if at least one gift card product exists and has been purchased or sent.
